  I was on the on ramp on Garth Brooks Blvd, my fiance drives a tanker truck and was getting sleepy, so I brought him a Coke and protein bar. I was on side of on ramp with my flashers on.... I was waiting on side of the on ramp and a Suv Sheriff vehicle pulled behind me. I slowly walked towards his vehicle. He asked if I was ok and he wasn't going to leave me stranded in the cold. I didn't get the officers name and now I regret that. If you read this and this is you, thank you and God Bless you Sir. This is our Canadian County Sheriff Suv Department at its best. I am truly thankful for your service, Sir.

  Officer Walters #714 YE pulled me over on Garth brooks for "Fail to Properly wear seatbelt". I was wearing my seatbelt but since I'm badly sunburned from my daughters track meet that lasted all day, I had placed the strap off of the burns and under my arm. I get that is a bad way to wear a seat belt in a normal situation but let's be humans here. I can't believe he visibly saw how sunburned I was and could not understand why to wear a seatbelt sawing at a sunburn would have been extremely painful. When I tried to reason with him he told me it looked like I wasn't wearing one at all and he felt I'm being deceptive. What a jerk representing a good town like Yukon. Grrr!! Why treat your own citizens like that?! So upset!

  1: One of the dispatchers does not take calls seriously and makes us feel stupid for reporting trespassers and mailbox vandalism.
